I started this site as a chronicle of my pursuit to own my first home. It has always been a goal of mine to own a home, and I realized recently that there was no point in putting it off any longer. On April 30, 2007 I purchased my first home with my girlfriend Jolena. This site has been a running account of my pursuit to become a homeowner. From getting approved for a loan, to the every day discoveries and adventures of being a homeowner after we have settled in.

Hopefully those who are already homeowners will be able to relate, and maybe even offer advice. Those who are thinking about buying their first home, may be able to pull helpful information from this as well. Or even if neither of these things happen, I will still have a full record of everything that went on with our first home.
